Fairfield Glade, TN - Janice Kay Rhind, 79, of Fairfield Glade, peacefully passed on Feb. 9, 2026 at Wyndridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in 1946 in Detroit, MI. Jan graduated from Henry Ford High School in 1964. She married her high school sweetheart, Chris Rhind, later that same year. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage in July 2025.

Jan was a dedicated wife and mother to their three children. She also was an active volunteer throughout her life giving her time and love to those in need.

Jan is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda, her father, Robert and her brother, Gary Remo. She is survived by her husband, Chris Rhind and children, Lisa Rhind, Chris Rhind II and Amy O'Brien and their spouses. Jan is also survived by her three beautiful grandchildren, Kathryn (Katie) O'Brien, Conor O'Brien and Molly Rhind, whom she cherished dearly.

A small service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Fairfield Glade and the family will host a Celebration of Life in Michigan for family and friends this summer — date and location TBD.
