Joyce Ann Novkov

July 17, 1932 - March 31, 2017

Joyce Ann Novkov, of Fairfield Glade, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by family on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 84 years of age at Tennova Hospital in Knoxville, TN.
She was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, where she met the love of her life in high school, David A. Novkov. They were together from that point on until his death in 2002, married for 50 wonderful years. David and Joyce enjoyed living and raising their children in Germany, Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee. Joyce graduated from Kent State University. Throughout her life she was an avid golfer (with two holes-in-one in her career), consummate bridge player, excellent dancer, and loved entertaining her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, David A Novkov; her mother, Margaret Mason Raymond (George); her father, Carl A. Fegancher; and her sister; Dottie Webster.
She is survived by two children, Lorie Novkov White (Bill) of Jackson, TN, and Bruce Allen Novkov (Holly) of Signal Mountain, TN; three granddaughters, Sarah Ann Gardner (Colby), Mary Holland Ellis (Baker) and Emily Caroline Novkov. She is also survived by wonderful nieces, nephews, brothers-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
Burial and interment services were conducted Monday, April 17, at 11:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN. A celebration of her life was held at 3 p.m. at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, Signal Mountain, TN. The family received friends after the service.
