James Orlo Boos, 80, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.
He was born March 21, 1937, in Monroe, MI, son of George Boos and Hazel (Scheele) Boos.
James worked for General Motors as a transportation specialist. He was a member of the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. He also proudly served his country in the Army. James was an avid golfer and bowler, and he loved to listen to music of all kinds.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Stine Boos, Fairfield Glade; daughters, Lori (Dan) Mattinson and Sherri Phillips, both of Michigan; son, Jimmy (Tessie) Boos of New York; and sister, Carol Heiden of Michigan. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his father, George Boos, and mother, Hazel (Scheele) Boos.
Memorial services were held at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jay Archerand and Rev. Moses Han officiating.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
